As a Gallo Account Manager you would be responsible for conducting wine and spirits category updates (resets) within Chain Retail Stores. The Account Manager may also lead external reset teams.



What You Will Do

  • Moves bottles, cases, and shelves within the liquor department of chain grocery stores.
  • Reads schematics and store layouts to determine proper flow of the department.
  • Works with store personnel to build working relationships in order to help successfully complete all reset tasks and responsibilities.
  • Leads a team of external hourly employees and guides them on a day-to-day basis in order to complete resets in a timely manner.
  • Position requires flexibility with schedule. Start times can be at 4-8AM and can shift to 10PM. Schedule is based on customer need (Albertsons, Ralphs, etc.). 
  • Position requires travel.  There will be out of town travel and overnight hotel stays up-to 25%.
  • Understands the accounts needs while maximizing Gallo’s merchandising objectives.
  • Surveys stores to see that updated schematics are being implemented and existing schematics maintained.
  • Demonstrates flexibility in overcoming problems specific to individual chains. Creates a sense of trust and dependency with customers.
  • Attends team meetings on a regular basis for the purpose of updating schematics, discussing current merchandising trends and specific chain planning objectives.
  • Communicates all store specific information to management in a timely manner.
  • Submits accurate detailed weekly and monthly reports to management in a timely manner.


What You Need


  • High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate.
  • 2 years of demonstrated sales experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Required to lift and move 45 – 57 pound cases of product.
  • Candidates for this position must have a valid driver’s license and a safe driving record. Required to obtain a California driver’s license or appropriate state driver’s license within 30 days of hire.
  • Physically capable of executing all essential functions to perform the job with or without reasonable accommodation
