Summary

Provides data insights and analysis to the customer development leadership and account executive team.

 

 

 

Essential Functions
This job description reflects management’s assignment of essential functions; it does not prescribe or restrict the tasks that may be assigned.

•  Performs and applies data analytics to help develop sales presentations, new item presentations, and programming presentations for the Customer Development team.

•  Uses syndicated data to identify and communicate opportunity gaps, competitive environment within chain marketing area, and channel facts.

•  Provides strategic/tactical planning to support category role, growth objectives, pricing/promotion planning, and internal sales data analysis.

•  Develops concise financial evaluations of chain account business.

•  Develops and maintains project files.

•  Demonstrates knowledge of all department hardware and software.

•  Updates and maintains master item list.

•  Executes all assignments delegated by Customer Development team and General Sales Manager.

•  Maintains good oral and written communication.

•  Practices safe work and driving habits and, if accountable for others, ensures their understanding and compliance of such habits.

•  Maintains satisfactory attendance, to include timeliness.

•  Responsible for understanding and complying with applicable quality, environmental and safety regulatory considerations. If accountable for the work of others, responsible for ensuring their understanding and compliance.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and 9 months of demonstrated sales or category analyst experience; OR High School diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 5 years of demonstrated sales or category analyst experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.

• Experience with MS Excel at an intermediate level.

• Candidates for this position must have a valid driver’s license and a safe driving record. Required to obtain a California driver’s license or appropriate state driver’s license within 30 days of hire.

•  Required to be able to physically capable of executing all essential functions to perform the job.

•  Required to be at least 21 years of age.

 

 

Preferred Qualifications

•  Bachelor’s degree plus 2 years demonstrated sales or category analyst experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.

• Leadership aptitude or skill.

• Experience with syndicated data sources such as IRI or Nielson.

• Excellent communication skills.

• Experience defining problems, collecting data, establishing facts and drawing valid conclusions.

• Excellent time management and organizational skills.

• Demonstrated teamwork experience.
