Hiring Salary Range Posted: $21.00 - $21.00/hour


Actual compensation paid within the range will be determined by factors such as the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.

 

This position will be based in the location(s) specified in the job posting and requires working on-site with no telecommuting option. You will be expected to live within a commutable distance.

We are seeking a Seasonal Food and Ingredient Warehouse Worker to join our dynamic team and contribute to the efficiency of our operations. If you have experience in material handling, inventory management, and are detail-oriented, we want to hear from you!

As a member of our team, you’ll work closely with the rest of the Food and Ingredient Warehouse team and will be involved with preparing and staging ingredients and oak for wine production.  This includes and is not limited to: 

  • Perform material handling, inventory stocking, and receiving functions.
  • Conduct weekly cycle and monthly inventories of ingredients and oak.
  • Participate in the offloading and loading of trucks using a forklift.
  • Ensure proper storage conditions and labeling for all winemaking ingredients.
  • Maintain proper cleanliness and housekeeping of all storage locations

This is a seasonal position, with employment running approximately July-November. The hours and schedule will vary depending on the workload, but tends to fall around 50 hours per week on a 6 day work week – day and swing shift schedules available.  Weekend coverage will follow a day shift schedule only. 


What You Will Need:

  • High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 3 years of material handling and storeroom experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Forklift certification required or required to obtain certification provided by Gallo within the first 14 days of hire.
  • Required to be 18 years of age or older.
  • Navigate ladders up to 20 feet high.
  • Lift 50 pounds and relocate product in a twisting motion.
  • Work weekends, rotating shift and overtime. 
  • Candidates for this position must have a valid driver’s license and a safe driving record. Required to obtain a California driver’s license or appropriate state driver’s license within 30 days of hire. 
  • Experienced in reading and comprehending simple instructions, correspondence, and memos. 
  • Experienced in writing simple correspondence and procedures.
  • Skilled in adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation. This may be in addition to travel requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.
  • Required to be 18 years or older. This may be in addition to other age requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.
