A Taste of What You'll Do
As an Welding and Fabrication Maintenance Technician at Four Roses Distillery you will be supporting distillery operations, you’ll play a critical role in keeping production running smoothly, safely, and efficiently. In this hands-on role, you’ll work across mechanical, electrical, and automated systems, helping ensure the reliability of equipment and infrastructure that powers day-to-day operations. From troubleshooting control systems to supporting preventive maintenance, your work will directly contribute to operational excellence and product quality.
You’ll collaborate closely with engineering and operations teams to design, implement, and enhance controls and automation across the facility. Whether you’re working with PLC wiring, diagnosing communication breakdowns, or optimizing system performance, you’ll bring a proactive mindset to continuous improvement. Your contributions will help minimize downtime and improve overall productivity.
This role also offers the opportunity to expand your technical capabilities across a variety of industrial systems, including boilers, chillers, compressors, and material handling equipment. You’ll apply your skills in welding, pipefitting, and instrumentation while maintaining a strong focus on safety, compliance, and food quality standards. Success in this position comes from a strong sense of ownership, curiosity, and a commitment to innovation in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
What You'll Need
- Associate degree in engineering, welding, electrical, control, or instrumentation systems plus 2 years of industrial maintenance experience with increasing levels of responsibility.
- Required to be at least 21 years of age.
- General knowledge of instrumentation.
- Experience with a maintenance management software system.
- Strong knowledge of controls and automation.
- Strong knowledge of HART signals.
- Strong knowledge of Siemens, Allen Bradley, and Ignition applications.
- Skilled in reading, comprehending, interpreting, and executing simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Skilled in writing simple correspondence.
- Skilled in adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing using whole numbers, decimals, and fractions.
- Knowledge of industrial electricity.
- Skilled in reading and understanding blueprints, drawings, and manuals.
- Required to maintain an environmentally clean and safe workplace.
- Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation. This may be in addition to travel requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.
- Required to be 18 years or older. This may be in addition to other age requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.
How You'll Stand Out
- Knowledge of distillery operations troubleshooting and industrial maintenance technology training
- Electrician certification with strong knowledge of industrial systems and controls
- Strong problem-solving skills, including root cause analysis
- Good interpersonal skills and proven ability to build strong working relationships in team environments
