A Taste of What You'll Do

Step into a leadership role where hospitality meets craftsmanship at Four Roses Distillery. As the Lead Bar Host, you’ll bring the brand to life by creating memorable, high-quality guest experiences while ensuring operational excellence behind the bar. You’ll serve as both a coach and a role model, guiding your team to deliver exceptional service while upholding the standards that define the Four Roses experience.

In this role, you’ll oversee the rhythm of daily bar operations—from opening and closing routines to inventory, ordering, and compliance—ensuring everything runs smoothly and efficiently. You’ll mentor and support Guest Experience Hosts, helping them develop their skills and confidence while fostering a collaborative, energized team environment. Your ability to lead with positivity and precision will elevate both team performance and guest satisfaction.

 

You’ll also play a key part in shaping the bar’s offerings and experiences. By partnering with cross-functional teams, you’ll help design cocktail programs, test new menu items, and align offerings with marketing initiatives. Whether managing guest feedback, coordinating special events, or driving consistency across locations, you’ll be at the center of innovation and execution.

What You'll Need

  • High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 4 years of customer service, retail, hospitality or bar experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR Associates degree in Hospitality, Communications, Marketing or Business plus 2 years of experience of customer service, retail, hospitality or bar experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Required to be 21 years of age or older.
  • Required to work weekends, night events, and holidays.
  • Required to engage in frequent walking and standing.
  • Required to lift and move at least 50 lbs.
  • Candidate is required to have a valid driver’s license, a safe driving record and reliable vehicle (if applicable) at the time of hire. This position will undergo a motor vehicle check (MVR) to confirm a history of safe and responsible driving. If needed, candidate must obtain the appropriate state driver’s license based on the position’s location within 30 days of hire.
  • Experience in bartending and operations management.
  • Experience executing tasks that required attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Experience executing tasks or job functions that require organizational skills and engaging in functions using own initiative.
  • Experience in MS Suite (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Access)
  • Must be able to speak in public and stand for long periods of time
  • Required to travel by automobile up to 10% during the course of business
  • Experience in POS systems.
  • Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation. This may be in addition to travel requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.
  • Required to be 18 years or older. This may be in addition to other age requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.

 

How You'll Stand Out

  • Associates degree in Hospitality, Communications, Marketing or Business plus 4 years of experience of customer service, retail, hospitality or bar experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Executive Bourbon Steward certificate or Certified Spirits Specialist.
  • Experience in Spirits hospitality and training or leading others.
  • Knowledge of federal and state legal compliance related to bar operations and proven ability to present information and solve practical problems effectively.

  • Actual compensation paid within the range will be determined by factors such as the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data. In addition to the salary, this position may be eligible for bonuses, incentive plans, or participate in tasting room tip pools, as applicable.
  • This position will be based in the location(s) specified in the job posting and requires working on-site with no telecommuting option. You will be expected to live within a commutable distance.
