A Taste of What You'll Do
Join Gallo as a Field Trainer and play a key role in developing high-performing sales teams across a dynamic distributor management area. In this highly visible position, you will deliver impactful training programs that build capability, accelerate onboarding, and support career growth for winery and distributor sales professionals. You'll work directly with sales employees, merchandisers, District Managers, Key Account Managers, and distributor partners to enhance performance and drive business results.
As a trusted training partner, you'll facilitate engaging learning experiences, coach talent in the field, and help bring Gallo's sales development strategy to life. You'll collaborate closely with sales leadership and training teams to identify development opportunities, evaluate program effectiveness, and adapt training solutions to meet evolving business needs.
Success in this role requires a passion for developing others, a strong understanding of selling excellence, and the ability to influence across multiple teams. You'll leverage training data, business insights, and adult learning principles to create meaningful learning experiences that support growth while serving as a Gallo ambassador in the marketplace. What You'll Need
- Bachelor’s degree plus 3 years of Gallo/distributor sales experience; OR Bachelor’s degree plus 4 years of external selling experience; OR High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 8 years of external selling experience.
- Candidate is required to have a valid driver’s license, a safe driving record and reliable vehicle (if applicable) at the time of hire. This position will undergo a motor vehicle check (MVR) to confirm a history of safe and responsible driving. If needed, candidate must obtain the appropriate state driver’s license based on the position’s location within 30 days of hire.
- Required to be 21 years of age or older.
- Required to obtain liquor license as required by state/locality.
- Required to travel by air and automobile up to 75% during the course of business.
- Required to see, taste, and smell wine and perform product tastings as part of job functions.
- Experience demonstrating strong leadership selling, time management, public speaking skills.
- Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation. This may be in addition to travel requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.
How You'll Stand Out
- Bachelor’s degree plus 4 years of Gallo/distributor sales experience, OR Bachelor’s degree plus 6 years of external selling experience.

The Fine Print

- We offer a broad salary range to allow for long-term growth. Actual compensation paid within the range will be determined by multiple factors, including, but not limited to, education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed between the entry point and middle of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors. In addition to the salary, this position may be eligible for bonuses, incentive plans, or participate in tasting room tip pools, as applicable.
- This position will be based in the location(s) specified in the job posting and requires regular travel within your assigned territory. Occasional travel to company sites may be required as needed.
