A Taste of What You'll Do

As a Field Sales Representative – Retail, you will play a vital role in bringing Gallo’s portfolio of iconic brands to life across your assigned territory. Through strong personal selling and relationship-building, you will partner with retail accounts to maximize distribution, drive visibility, and grow sales. This is an exciting opportunity to make a direct impact on business results while representing one of the most recognized names in the wine and spirits industry.

In this role, you will build and maintain meaningful relationships with customers and prospects, becoming a trusted resource for product knowledge and merchandising support. You’ll execute sales programs, present brand initiatives to distributor partners, and ensure our products are positioned for success in every account you serve. Your ability to communicate effectively, think strategically, and deliver results will be key to your success.

You will also take ownership of your territory by managing expenses, ensuring timely reporting, and maintaining a high level of organization. This role offers a dynamic, hands-on environment where you’ll combine analytical thinking with creativity to drive growth, enhance brand awareness, and deliver exceptional customer experiences while developing valuable sales expertise.
 

What You'll Need

  • Bachelor's degree; OR Senior class standing at a college or university and a Bachelor's degree is successfully completed and confirmed by the time of hire OR High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 4 years of sales experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Required to see, taste, and smell wine and perform wine tastings as part of job functions.
  • Candidate is required to have a valid driver’s license, a safe driving record and reliable vehicle (if applicable) at the time of hire. This position will undergo a motor vehicle check (MVR) to confirm a history of safe and responsible driving. If needed, candidate must obtain the appropriate state driver’s license based on the position’s location within 30 days of hire.
  • Required to travel by automobile to perform job duties.
  • Required to obtain a liquor license as required by state/locality.
  • Required to lift and move up to 40 pounds.
  • Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation. This may be in addition to travel requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.
  • Required to be 18 years or older. This may be in addition to other age requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.
     

How You'll Stand Out

  • Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a Marketing or Business Management concentration plus 2 years of winery sales, distiller sales, distributor sales or direct to consumer marketing, or brand marketing experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Previous beverage sales experience.
  • Experience effectively presenting information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
  • Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office products at a basic level (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint).
