This role partners with the business to ensure HR systems and processes are aligned with the goals, culture and strategy of the organization. Serves as the designated HR point-of-contact providing timely, targeted HR service and support in talent acquisition and onboarding, performance management, employee relations, compensation management, training and development, and providing solutions and facilitating effective resolution of HR issues.

What you'll do:

  • Partner with client leadership team members to assess the effectiveness of the organization’s leadership, communication, and organizational design and implementation. 
  • Partner with HR leadership and client group(s) senior leadership to develop functional /commercial objectives, goals, strategies and measures (OGSM’s) that drive business strategy.
  • Participate in the development and management of the corporate Annual Salary Planning process; collaborates with the compensation department to drive the program and process.
  • Performs investigations relating to employee issues and claims with oversight from HR Management.
  • Provides coaching and counseling support to management team in the area of labor relations.  
  • Collaborate with HR leadership to administer the Human Resources Planning/Functional Succession Planning (HRP) processes; ensures integration of HRP into performance management and staffing decisions for high potential employees and senior management. 
  • Collaborates with HR assistant to ensure the correct administration of pay policies (e.g. vacation, sick leave, funeral leave, and jury duty).
  • Identify high potential employees and develops their career paths.
  • Serve on cross functional teams designed develop and implement client specific process improvements.
  • Lead training courses for managers and employees.
  • Perform investigations relating to employee issues and claims; makes recommendations on next steps and appropriate discipline. 
  • Instruct team leaders, mid- level managers on how to handle performance issues (includes documentation assistance and legal review).
  • Ensures employee understanding and consistent application of CBA, department and corporate policies and all federal and state regulations.
  • Provides support in rolling-out HR initiatives, programs and policies (Total Rewards education and roll out, Employee Engagement Survey).
  • Maintains satisfactory attendance, to include timeliness.
  • Responsible for understanding and complying with applicable quality, environmental and safety regulatory considerations.

Who we are looking for:

  • High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate
  • Master’s degree plus 2 years of human resources generalist/representative experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; or Bachelor’s degree plus 4 years of human resources generalist/representative experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; or 8 years of human resources generalist/representative experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Experience handling sensitive and confidential information

What will set you apart:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or Business Administration plus 4 years of resources generalist/representative experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Experience implementing federal contractor compliance obligations (e.g. OFCCP) and EEO/AA policies and practices
  • Experience reading, analyzing and interpreting the most complex documents.
  • Experience responding effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints.
  • Experience effectively presenting information to customers, employees or management within an organization.
