As a Training Coordinator will, serve as the subject matter expert for the Training Department system applications as well as participating in the coordination and implementation of Central Valley training programs and services.



  • Creates the site communication surrounding training announcements; ensures announcements are delivered in a timely manner and with the correct content.
  • Enters and updates Learning Management System (LMS) course and session data.\
  • Supports the training across the winery; creates timelines to execute training and implementation.
  • Serves as the subject matter expert for LMS; demonstrates and trains users on the LMS application
  • Supports the development of customization requests to meet department training needs; ensures that corporate training policies and procedures are implemented into department specific trainings.
  • Collaborates with HRIS to ensure proper maintenance of the learning management system.
  • Represents the department during LMS bundles testing.
  • Updates and Maintains the Training’s department intranet page.
  • Maintains all vendor files; ensures that all vendor contracts are current and up to date.
  • Contacts vendors and contractors to verify scheduling; validates cost adjustments, and ensures that objectives are aligned.
  • Develops and maintains Evaluation Average/Attendance Percentage summary reports from L&D application; provides additional reporting as needed.
  • Manages budget expenditures for the department.
  • Supports the setup, support of trainers/participants, and other training needs in preparation of training sessions.
  • Educates clients on the site training department’s policies and procedures.
  • Prepares correspondence, memoranda, reports, meeting agendas and minutes, calendars, training data as requested; proofreads and distributes all documents.
  • Conducts New Hire Orientation training as needed.
  • Identifies and suggests ways to improve/streamline department processes, procedures, interactions, service and financial success; updates departmental policies, procedures and standards.


  • Bachelor’s degree; OR High School diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 4 years of human resources, training, finance support or operations support experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Skilled in the use of MS Outlook, MS Excel and MS Word at a basic level.
  • Required to lift and move up to 25 lbs.
  • Skilled in reading, comprehending, interpreting and executing simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.
  • Skilled in writing simple correspondence.
  • Skilled in adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing using whole numbers.
  • Candidates for this position must have a valid driver’s license and a safe driving record. Required to obtain a California driver’s license or appropriate state driver’s license within 30 days of hire.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration plus 2 years of human resources, training or operations support experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Experience with PeopleSoft, training management systems or other database software.Skilled in the use of MS PowerPoint at an intermediate level.
  • Experience leading small to medium sized projects.
  • Experience effectively presenting and responding to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, students and the general public.
  • Experience reading and interpreting documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Experience writing routine reports and correspondence.
  • Skilled in the use of MS Suite at an advanced level.
