Gallo is now hiring Forklift Operators for our Chester County Operations in Fort Lawn, SC! 

Job Overview:

  • Work Schedule: We have openings on our 12 Hour Night Shift, 6:00p - 6:00a, 2-2-3 Schedule OR M-F, 2nd Shift 3:30p - Midnight OR M-F, 3rd Shift 11:30p - 8:00a 
  • As a Warehouse Operator/Forklift Driver, you will operate a clamp or forklift to perform various clamp and fork driving duties including picking customer orders, loading and unloading trucks, loading and unloading rail cars, and putting away finished goods; regularly operates floor scrubber to maintain a clean work area. 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Picks product for sales orders. 
  • Operates stretch wrapper. 
  • Performs assigned computer based tasks such as data entry and updating/closing work orders in the WMS computer based software. 
  • Works toward department and individually assigned performance metrics and communicates status of work in progress.
  • Checks and ensures inventory accuracy utilizing the computerized inventory system. 
  • Scans product LPN’s accurately, uses query functionality, performs cycle counts, and other miscellaneous inventory adjustments. 
  • Understands and executes instructions on work orders. 
  • Inspects packages (pallet patterns & print) to ensure compliance with work orders. 

 

What You Will Need:

  • High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 1 year previous forklift, clamp lift or heavy machinery operations experience.

  • Required to comply with company GMP policies.

  • Required to work overtime as needed.

  • Required to work any assigned shift.

  • Required to lift and move up to 60 lbs.

  • Required to pass in-house clamp and forklift skills tests to become a Certified Forklift and Clamp Driver.

  • Must be able to re-certify Clamp Driver skills attained as required.

  • Required to be physically capable of executing all essential functions of the job.

  • Must be able to operate and utilize the computerized inventory system.

  • Accepts constructive feedback and alters behavior accordingly.

  • Required to pass in-house clamp lift and forklift skills tests.

  • Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation. This may be in addition to travel requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.

  • Required to be 18 years or older. This may be in addition to other age requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.

Compensation:

  • Hiring Salary Range Posted: Set Rate Listed As: $19.50 - $19.50 / hour
  • Shift Differential as Applicable
  • Actual compensation paid within the range will be determined by factors such as the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
