As a Physical Security Technology Lead, you’ll play a critical role in designing, maintaining, and advancing the systems that safeguard our wineries, facilities, and corporate environments. Working with a high degree of independence, you’ll bring technical expertise and problemsolving skills to complex security challenges while supporting the evolving needs of the business.


In this role, you’ll lead the design, installation, and repair of access control, intrusion alarm, and video surveillance systems across the company. You’ll partner closely with internal teams, vendors, and stakeholders to assess physical security needs, implement enhancements, and ensure systems operate reliably and compliantly. From managing system administration and access rights to overseeing preventative maintenance, your work will directly support a safe and secure environment.


You’ll also take ownership of projects from concept through completion—developing project plans, managing budgets, coordinating vendors, and ensuring work is delivered on time and within scope. As a technical leader, you’ll provide guidance and training to security technicians and guards, share insights with leadership, and stay current on emerging security technologies. What You’ll Need

  • Bachelor’s degree plus 3 years of security experience to include installing and repairing alarm, closed circuit television and access control systems, and surveying sites for physical security needs reflecting increasing levels of responsibilities OR Associate’s degree plus 5 years of security experience to include installing and repairing alarm, closed circuit television and access control systems, and surveying sites for physical security needs reflecting increasing levels of responsibilities OR High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 7 years of security experience to include installing and repairing alarm, closed circuit television and access control systems, and surveying sites for physical security needs reflecting increasing levels of responsibilities.
  • Candidate is required to have a valid driver’s license, a safe driving record and reliable vehicle (if applicable) at the time of hire. This position will undergo a motor vehicle check (MVR) to confirm a history of safe and responsible driving. If needed, candidate must obtain the appropriate state driver’s license based on the position’s location within 30 days of hire.
  • Experience drafting security diagrams reflecting camera field of view, card reader, circuit board locations and beam sensor security boundary.
  • Experience with bidding security installation jobs, negotiating security installation and contract upgrades, and managing large security installation projects with sub-contractors.
  • Basic accounting knowledge; knowledge of Excel applications; able to work within an annual budget and review billing statements for accuracy.
  • Knowledgeable in inner workings of state-of-the-art security and technology.
  • Communicates effectively with all personnel, including owners of the Company and their families.
  • Skilled in effectively communicating both verbally and in writing.
  • Required to stand for at least 8 hours per day with minimal breaks.
  • Required to lift and move up to 30 pounds up and down a ladder.
  • Required to work outside year-round, for at least 8 hours per day with minimal breaks.
  • Required to operate a company-owned vehicle safely.
  • Skilled in reading, comprehending, interpreting and executing simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.
  • Skilled in writing simple correspondence.
  • Skilled in adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing using whole numbers.
  • Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation. This may be in addition to travel requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.
  • Required to be 18 years or older. This may be in addition to other age requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.

 

How You’ll Stand Out​

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field.
  • Certified for installation and programming of access control software, cameras, NVR’s and their respective operating systems.
