Summary:

The Advanced Team Leader will be responsible for individual and team development, quality performance, cost parameters, and service to customers (internal and external). Works cross functionally with other departments to execute operations initiatives. Leads problem solving for area of responsibility and participates in cross functional problem solving. Responsible for a team of individuals with varying levels of experience and education. The Team Leader has experience in operations, manufacturing, distribution and supply chain processes and leads team members through initiative implementation and improving performance.

What You Will Do:

Leadership

  • Influences and/or directs teams across departments/shifts.
  • Works cross functionally to implement projects
  • Builds daily work plans.
  • Provides real time status of floor activities to leadership and cross functional partners as needed.
  • Understands and manages and workforce planning; approves timecards.
  • Sets goals with and for team members to support business and personal development.
  • Determines, writes and executes appropriate performance management action; aligns with Operations Manager and Human Resources.
  • Promotes strong cross-functional collaboration.

Compliance, Regulatory and Safety

  • Teaches and coaches team members on adherence to Environmental, Health and Safety guidelines. Takes appropriate corrective action to address issues. Acts as Site Commander.
  • Ensures GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices).
  • Firm understanding of Serious Injury Fatality (SIF). Plans effective safety conversation by area based on data.
  • Leads employee injury incident investigations and root cause analysis, or near miss/near hit incidents that could result in injury.
  • Owns designated safety programs (mobile equipment, heat illness).

Technical Expertise

  • Effectively uses LEAN practices.
  • Identifies gaps in processes, writes standard work, performs Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and maintains quality standards.
  • Identifies need for updates to policies and practices associated with managing impact of change Notice of Change (NOC) and Management of Change (MOC); partners with leadership to initiate.

General

  • Maintains satisfactory attendance, to include timeliness.
  • Responsible for understanding and complying with applicable quality, environmental and safety regulatory considerations.

Supervisory Responsibility:

  • Develops, coaches and mentors peers, indirect and subordinate staff.
  • If accountable for the work of others, conducts performance evaluations; reviews and communicates salary adjustments; rewards employees or takes disciplinary action, as necessary; addresses complaints and resolves issues.

What You Will Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree plus 2 years of production, operations or logistics experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR Bachelor’s degree plus 3 years of military operations and leadership experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR High School diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 6 years of production, operations or logistics experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR High School diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 6 years of military operations and leadership experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR Successful completion of the Gallo Operations/Technical Management Program.
  • 1 year of supervisory or managerial experience; demonstrates team building, leadership and mentoring skills.
  • Required to work any assigned shift. 
  • Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation. This may be in addition to travel requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.

What Will Set You Apart:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering plus 2 years of production, operations or logistics experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Management plus 5 years of manufacturing operations management, or logistics operations management experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.

Compensation:

  • $65,790 - $116,000
  • Actual compensation paid within the range will be determined by factors such as the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
