Do you have CPG experience and enjoy managing utility and facility related projects in a fast-paced environment?  As a project manager, you will use your knowledge of beverage manufacturing processes to take responsibility of leading the development and implementation of utility and facility related projects at E&J Gallo’s new greenfield plant in Fort Lawn, South Carolina. Your focus will be to ensure that projects under your direction are delivering to company standards while using the capital project processes that include cost control, scope management and schedule management all while ensuring design requirements are met.  You will work cross functionally utilizing lean tools and methodologies to continuously improve processes and drive out waste across business.

What You Will Do:
Project Management and Capital Project Execution

  • Manage safety, costs, scope, schedule, and requirements on all utility or facility capital projects that are assigned.
  • Scope technical solutions and evaluate technical viability of vendor provided solutions.
  • Evaluate Vendor capabilities to ensure performance goals and project deliverables are met.
  • Systems that you will work on could include, steam boilers and distribution, natural gas, ammonia refrigeration, condenser water with cooling towers, cooling glycol distribution, water, wastewater, storm water, electrical distribution, process support utilities (N2, CO2, RO water), buildings, underground utilities and roads.
  • Coordinate with utility providers
  • Participate in department planning, interdepartmental planning, and management teams working cross-functionally to improve processes within the organization.
  • Leverage the ability to build relationships and influence cross-functionally.
  • Engage in strategy, execution and direction discussions on capital projects and plant and enterprise wide initiatives.
  • Ability to travel as needed to support business need (e.g. plant FAT’s, Corporate visits)

What You Need:

  • Master’s Degree in Engineering plus 6 years of Engineering, Project Engineering, Project Management, Commercial or Industrial Architecture, Commercial or Industrial Construction Management experience, reflecting increasing levels of responsibility, which may include Gallo TMDP or OMDP experience; OR  Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering plus 8 years of Engineering, Project Engineering, Project Management, Commercial or Industrial Architecture, Commercial or Industrial Construction Management experience, reflecting increasing levels of responsibility, which may include Gallo TMDP or OMDP experience; OR Bachelor of Science Degree plus 10 years of Engineering, Project Engineering, Project Management, Commercial or Industrial Architecture, Commercial or Industrial Construction Management experience, reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR High School Diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 12 years of Engineering, Project Engineering, Project Management, Commercial or Industrial Architecture, Commercial or Industrial Construction Management experience, reflecting increasing levels of responsibility. 

What Will Set You Apart:

  • BS in Engineering Management, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Bio-Systems Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture or Civil Engineering, plus 10 years managing projects.
