As a Senior Finance Analyst you will be responsible for researching and providing financial and business-related analyses to assess the impact of various projects, systems and transactions. You will support the Demand Management component of Sales & Operational Planning (S&OP) for the Business Unit. You will work across the organization with functional teams to drive robust understanding of risks and opportunities associated with the forecast.

 

What You Will Do:

  • Conducts analyses and research in such areas as financial and expense performance, rate of return, depreciation, working capital and investment.
  • Prepares forecasts and analyzes trends in manufacturing, sales, finance, general business conditions, and other related areas.
  • Analyzes customer, brand and product profitability.
  • Performs frequent analysis on both the full P&L and individual divisions to identify risks and provide variance explanations.
  • Participates in the production of monthly management reports including profit and loss, promotional, and overhead analysis.
  • Lead and participate in adhoc financial analysis projects as necessary, including but not limited to pricing, transportation methods, new product development, and cost savings.
  • Participates in the annual operating plan by preparing input templates for the sales and marketing departments, providing ongoing support to the broader team, analyzing both the full and specific areas of the P&L, presenting to and preparing AOP presentations for senior leadership
  • Reviews departmental actual expenses versus budget and forecast, notifies appropriate stakeholders of variances
  • Participates in creating programs to improve effectiveness and efficiency
  • Conducts special financial and business-related studies as requested.
  • Participates in the development of department procedures and performance measures.
  • Maintains satisfactory attendance, to include timeliness.

What You Will Need:

  • High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate.
  • MBA plus 2 years of Finance, Accounting, Military, Operations, Business or wine industry experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR Bachelor’s degree plus 4 years of Finance or Accounting experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR Bachelor’s degree plus 3 years of Gallo Finance or Accounting experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Experience with MS Excel and MS Access.
  • Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation. This may be in addition to travel requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.

What Will Set You Apart:

  • MBA plus 4 years of Finance, Accounting, Military, Operations, Business or wine industry experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance plus 6 years Accounting or Finance experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Cost Accounting or Manufacturing experience.
  • Experience with SAP.
  • Experience with Outlook Soft.
  • Experience with MS Word and MS PowerPoint.
  • Experience reading, analyzing and interpreting common scientific and technical journals, financial reports and legal documents. Experience responding to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies or members of the business community. Experience effectively presenting information to top management, public groups and boards of directors.
  • Experience applying mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory and factor analysis.
  • Experience defining problems, collecting data, establishing facts and drawing valid conclusions. Experience interpreting an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and dealing with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Experience completing assignments that broad in nature, usually requiring originality and ingenuity. Has appreciable latitude for unreviewed action or decision.
  • Broad knowledge of principles, practices and procedures of this particular field of specialization.

Compensation:

  • Hiring Salary Range Posted: $72,900 - $121,600
  • Actual compensation paid within the range will be determined by factors such as the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
