A Taste of What You’ll Do

As a Sales Rep – On Premise, you’ll be the face of GALLO in restaurants, bars, and hospitality accounts across your assigned territory. You’ll build trusted relationships with decision-makers, understand what drives their business, and bring GALLO’s portfolio to life through thoughtful recommendations, tastings, and persuasive sales presentations. Every day, you’ll combine preparation, product knowledge, and enthusiasm to deliver value to customers while driving sustainable sales growth.

 

This role is equal parts strategy and execution. You’ll pre-plan each call using business tools and data to ensure maximum impact, stay informed on competitive trends and pricing, and tailor solutions that help accounts grow their beverage programs. You’ll listen closely to customer needs, overcome objections with confidence, and work creatively to expand distribution of priority items.

 

You’ll also operate with accountability and professionalism. From maintaining accurate route cards and sales records to leveraging technology for order entry and reporting, your attention to detail will support both your success and the broader team. Whether handling account-specific challenges, supporting special events, or representing GALLO in the market, you’ll bring an entrepreneurial mindset and a commitment to service that strengthens long-term partnerships and elevates the brand.

 

What You’ll Need

  • Bachelor’s degree; OR Senior class standing at a college or university and a Bachelor’s degree is successfully completed and confirmed by the time of hire OR High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 4 years of sales experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 1 year of Gallo or affiliated or non-affiliated distributor merchandising or sales experience.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Required to obtain a solicitor's permit as required by state/locality.
  • Required to travel by automobile to perform job duties.
  • Candidate is required to have a valid driver’s license, a safe driving record and reliable vehicle (if applicable) at the time of hire. This position will undergo a motor vehicle check (MVR) to confirm a history of safe and responsible driving. If needed, candidate must obtain the appropriate state driver’s license based on the position’s location within 30 days of hire.
  • Required to lift and move cases of product that weighs up to 60 pounds including lifting overhead.
  • Required to work weekends for special functions/events when necessary.

 

How You’ll Stand Out

  • Bachelor’s degree plus 2 years retail sales experience or 2 years wine sales experience.
  • Skilled in demonstrating teamwork and leadership.
  • Experienced in effectively presenting information in one-on-one and small group situations, defining problems, collecting data, establishing facts, and drawing valid conclusions while planning and organizing work effectively.

  • Actual compensation paid within the range will be determined by factors such as the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data. In addition to the salary, this position may be eligible for bonuses, incentive plans, or participate in tasting room tip pools, as applicable.
  • This position will be based in the location(s) specified in the job posting and requires regular travel within your assigned territory. Occasional travel to company sites may be required as needed.
