A Taste of What You'll Do

As a Merchandiser, you will bring GALLO brands to life in the marketplace by providing merchandising support and service across assigned accounts. You will work alongside Division Field Service Representatives and distributor sales teams to help ensure products and displays are presented effectively.

In this active, customer-facing role, you will visit accounts, move and arrange cases of wine, build displays, and demonstrate merchandising techniques. You will also help develop positive relationships with current and prospective customers while contributing to design discussions when appropriate.

Success in this role calls for reliability, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and cooperatively. You will manage your time and account responsibilities while following applicable quality, environmental, and safety requirements. This is an opportunity to contribute directly to the customer experience and strengthen GALLO’s presence in the market.
 

What You'll Need

  • High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age or older.
  • Required to obtain a solicitor's permit as required by state/locality. Must maintain eligibility to hold such permit throughout employment.
  • Required to travel by automobile to perform job duties.
  • Candidate is required to have a valid driver’s license, a safe driving record and reliable vehicle (if applicable) at the time of hire. This position will undergo a motor vehicle check (MVR) to confirm a history of safe and responsible driving. If needed, candidate must obtain the appropriate state driver’s license based on the position’s location within 30 days of hire.
  • Experience working independently and manage time commitments to meet established service goals.
  • Experience working cooperatively with others.
  • Experienced in reading and comprehending simple instructions, correspondence, and memos.
  • Required to lift, move, stack, etc., product cases weighing approximately 60 pounds each.
  • Required to lift and move up to 60 pounds including overhead.
  • Experienced in writing simple correspondence and procedures.
  • Skilled in adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Required to be 18 years or older. This may be in addition to other age requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.

  • 1 year of merchandising experience; experience merchandising for a distributor.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; excellent organizational skills.
  • Experience in managing multiple assignments; experience in problem solving skills; experience working independently and managing time commitments to meet established service goals.

  • We offer a broad salary range to allow for long-term growth. Actual compensation paid within the range will be determined by multiple factors, including, but not limited to, education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed between the entry point and middle of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors. In addition to the salary, this position may be eligible for bonuses, incentive plans, or participate in tasting room tip pools, as applicable.
  • This position will be based in the location(s) specified in the job posting and requires regular travel within your assigned territory. Occasional travel to company sites may be required as needed.
