A Taste of What You'll Do
Join GALLO New Jersey as a Field Trainer and play a pivotal role in shaping the success of our Sales Representatives and Merchandisers. You’ll lead Sales Orientation classes using the GALLO Sales Manual, deliver hands-on Modular Training in the field, and translate classroom learning into measurable on-the-job performance. Your work ensures new hires and active team members master selling and merchandising fundamentals while embracing our standards, policies, and safety expectations.
You will prepare and update orientation materials, maintain training inventories, and track trainee progress through monthly Module Reports and 60/120-day evaluations. You’ll review Sales Seminar pre-assignments in GALLO University, keep clear communication with Sales Management and HR about development and performance, support selected recruiting activities and special projects, and serve as a neutral, trusted management resource when team members need to share concerns.
We’re looking for a creative trainer who improves impact by designing practical tools and programs, models intrapreneurship by taking initiative and learning from experimentation, and demonstrates ownership by setting high expectations and holding self and others accountable. Reliable attendance, timeliness, and adherence to quality, environmental and safety regulations are essential.

What You'll Need
- High School diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 4 years of professional sales experience to include at least one year of affiliated distributor experience that includes a holiday season reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; or Bachelor’s degree plus 9 months of successful experience as a field sales representative with a Gallo wholesaler or affiliated distributor that includes a holiday season.
- Candidate is required to have a valid driver’s license, a safe driving record and reliable vehicle (if applicable) at the time of hire. This position will undergo a motor vehicle check (MVR) to confirm a history of safe and responsible driving. If needed, candidate must obtain the appropriate state driver’s license based on the position’s location within 30 days of hire
- Required to have a car or personal transportation to access multi-store locations within assigned area and transport large point of sale materials.
- Required to lift and move 45–57 pound cases of product.
- Required to be physically capable of executing all essential functions to perform the job.
- Required to be at least 21 years of age.
- Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation. This may be in addition to travel requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.

How You'll Stand Out
- Bachelor’s degree plus 1 year of professional sales experience
- Experience in Gallo sales/merchandising standards, policies, and selling skills (i.e. affiliated distributors) .

- Actual compensation paid within the range will be determined by factors such as the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
