A Taste of What You'll Do
Join our team at Gallo Winery as a Packaging Technician and play a key role in bringing our award-winning products to life. In this hands-on role, you’ll work with packaging equipment, ensuring our bottles are perfectly prepared for customers to enjoy around the world. You’ll operate and monitor machinery, load materials, perform quality inspections, and keep production flowing smoothly — all while maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
We’re looking for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced setting, values teamwork, and takes pride in doing things right the first time. You’ll be engaged in continuous improvement activities, help identify ways to work more efficiently, and support our sustainability efforts through recycling, energy efficiency, and waste reduction. From operating palletizers to inspecting labels, you’ll have the opportunity to learn new skills and even train others as you grow in the role.
Safety, quality, and collaboration are at the heart of what we do. You’ll work closely with team members and leaders, communicating effectively to solve problems and meet production goals. This role may also involve forklift operation, so certification or willingness to train is a plus.

What You'll Need
- High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate; OR, one (1) year of experience in beverage production, manufacturing or operations.
- Required to be physically capable of executing any job tasks within the bottling room.
- Must be able to repetitively lift and uncase glass cases onto a conveyer belt.
- Required to work any assigned shift (day, swing, graveyard, 5x8, 4x10); required to work weekends and overtime when necessary.
- Skilled in reading, comprehending, interpreting and executing simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.
- Basic knowledge of data entry into production/quality systems.
- Required to comply with company GMP policies.
- Skilled in writing simple correspondence.
- Skilled in adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing using whole numbers.
- Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation. This may be in addition to travel requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.

- Actual compensation paid within the range will be determined by factors such as the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data. In addition to the salary, this position may be eligible for bonuses, incentive plans, or participate in tasting room tip pools, as applicable.
- This position will be based in the location(s) specified in the job posting and requires working on-site with no telecommuting option. You will be expected to live within a commutable distance.
