This position will be based in Atlanta, GA and requires regular travel within your assigned territory. Occasional travel to company sites may be required as needed.
We are seeking a passionate and driven individual to maximize the sale and distribution of Gallo Spirits brands within assigned accounts by executing strategic sales and marketing plans. You will play a key role in maintaining business relationships and employing effective selling techniques to increase product sales in your designated geography.
In this role, you will spend 80% of your time collaborating with distributor personnel to execute monthly programs that close gaps and deliver points of distribution. You will strategically plan your time to maximize sales and grow Gallo Spirits brands, ensuring that all distributors, reps, and accounts are treated with a tailored approach. Your ability to develop and build key relationships at targeted accounts will be crucial in promoting our brands and achieving performance goals.
Your responsibilities include making regular lead sales calls on approximately 30 assigned accounts within a geographic area, recognizing opportunities, and reallocating time strategically to maximize business performance. You will also be responsible for organizing and executing exceptional evangelist initiatives, training and coaching distributor sales representatives, and gathering market intelligence to identify opportunities for further growth.
As a Gallo Spirits Ambassador, you will advocate for our brands by hosting events, leveraging social media, and promoting sales within the community. You will engage with accounts and distributor personnel to ensure all e-Retail opportunities are maximized and support the commercialization of digital marketing programs. Additionally, you will collaborate with various winery support areas to activate local market materials and reinforce Gallo Spirits standards.

What You Will Need:
- Bachelor’s degree plus 2 years of Gallo winery or distributor sales reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR Bachelor’s degree plus 3 years of wine or spirits sales, marketing, restaurant/hospitality, or distributor experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 6 years of Gallo winery or distributor sales experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 7 years of wine or spirits sales, marketing, restaurant/hospitality, or distributor experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
- Candidate is required to have a valid driver’s license, a safe driving record and reliable vehicle (if applicable) at the time of hire. This position will undergo a motor vehicle check (MVR) to confirm a history of safe and responsible driving. If needed, candidate must obtain the appropriate state driver’s license based on the position’s location within 30 days of hire.
- Required to obtain liquor license as required by state/locality.
- Required to travel by air and car up to 40% of the time in order to execute job functions.
- Required to see, taste, and smell wine and perform wine tastings as part of job functions.
- Required to be 21 years of age or older.
- Experience demonstrating strong leadership selling, time management, public speaking skills.
- Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation. This may be in addition to travel requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.
What You Will Set You Apart:
- Bachelor's degree plus 4 years of Gallo winery or distributor sales experience to include a prior rotation as a Spirits Development Specialist, Spirits Development Specialist Sr, Business Intelligence Analyst Sr, Market Development Manager, Market Development Manager Sr, or Account Manager 1; OR Bachelor's degree plus 5 years of external alcohol sales experience to include spirit sales experience.
- Experience selling or marketing Gallo brands.
- Mixology Certification
- CSS, CSE, CEFS, CSSC or equivalent certification
Compensation:
- Hiring salary range posted: $91,500 - $137,300 / year
- Actual compensation paid within the range will be determined by factors such as the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
