As an Advanced Pakaging Technican at Turner Road Vinters, Under supervision, perform Packaging Tech I tasks such as equipment cleaning and sanitizing, wine movement, and chemical addition. Responsible for operating and troubleshooting basic issues on various packaging equipment including Helix, case packer, cap applicator, automatic wrapper, etc.
Compensation:
$23.56 - $31.83
Actual compensation paid within the range will be determined by factors such as the education, expierence, knowlede, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equit,and alligment with market data.
What You'll do:
Under general supervision, the employee will:
- Operate and perform minimal troubleshooting on packaging equipment (such as Helix, case packer, cap applicator, automatic wrapper), including loading proper packaging materials.
- Operate assigned equipment on the production line safely and efficiently to meet or exceed production goals in a cost-effective manner.
- Assist with equipment changeovers.
- Maintain a mindset of continuous improvement and keep a clean and food safety compliant work area.

Conduct routine production reporting and quality checks.

Consistently perform in-process and final production quality control and verification checks.

Comply with E & J Gallo Winery's sustainability policies and practices, including conservation, energy efficiency, and recycling.

Demonstrate situational awareness and urgency on the production floor prioritizing safety, quality, and productivity.

Communicate effectively with team members, leadership, and other departments.

Maintain satisfactory attendance and comply with quality, environmental, and safety regulations.
What you will need:
- High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus at least 18 months of wine production or manufacturing experience, or; 3 years of wine production experience.
- Required to be 18 years of age or older.
- Required to be physically capable of executing any job tasks within the bottling room or cellar operations.
- Must be able to repetitively lift and uncase glass cases onto a conveyer belt.
- Required to work assigned shifts Monday - Saturday (day, swing, and graveyard) and Sundays and overtime as needed.
- Required to wear a respirator when necessary.
- Skilled in reading, comprehending, interpreting and executing simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.
- Required to work at heights and in confined spaces.
- Required to comply with company GMP policies.
- Skilled in writing simple correspondence.
- Skilled in adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing using whole numbers.
- Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation. This may be in addition to travel requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.
- Required be 18 years or older. This may be in addition to other age requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.

- Experience showing versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities.

- Experience understanding and following written and verbal instructions.
- Skilled in basic mathematical operations.
